We collect information you provide directly to us, including your email address when you create an account or contact us. When you use our service, we collect the resume text and job description text you submit for scoring. We do not store your resume content permanently -- it is processed in real time and discarded after scoring. We also collect usage data such as the number of scores and rewrites you perform each month to enforce plan limits.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to send you transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts) and, with your consent, product updates and tips. We use your resume and job description text solely to generate your ATS score and rewritten resume. We do not sell, share, or use your resume content for training AI models. Usage data is used to enforce plan limits and improve our service.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your account information is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant platform. Payment information is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Resume content submitted for scoring is processed in memory and not written to any database. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase for authentication and user data storage, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email delivery, and OpenRouter for AI-powered resume analysis. Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.
5. Cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication purposes to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from staying signed in.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at hello@scoremyresume.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
7. Children's Privacy
ScoreMyResume is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
